Microwave Dave to open County Line Road Concerts

MADISON – Sunday nights soon will usher in the new week with an evening of entertainment when County Line Road Concerts open on June 2.

Heritage Church is sponsoring the free concert series on Sundays during June at 6:30 p.m. in Heritage Park, adjacent to the church at 29768 Huntsville Brownsferry Road. This location is about one-quarter mile west of Walgreen’s on County Line Road.

Food trucks will sell their unique recipes for savory and sweet choices. To-date, Bad News BBQ, Fire & Spice, Highway Kabobery, I Love Bacon and Sweet Temptations plan to attend.

On June 2, one of the Tennessee Valley’s favorite bands, Microwave Dave & the Nukes, will open the 2019 season. These musicians have performed for 20 years in the United States and Europe and have produced six albums.

Microwave Dave has played to French soccer stadiums, Bike Week in Daytona Beach and ‘blues cruises’ on the Big Red Boat, along with many back-at-home gigs at festivals and gatherings. According to the band, “Blues is America’s first — and still best — self-help program.” (microwavedave.com)

JED Eye is scheduled on June 9. The five talented musicians banded together to share their individual music interests. They have played many festivals and venues, and their music keeps audiences on their feet. Their chart list covers the gamut from 3 Doors Down to Pearl Jam to the Rolling Stones to ZZ Top. On June 16, the Winslow Davis Ensemble will entertain for the County Line Road Concerts. The group’s instrumentation includes violin, guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. The group’s music “is a fusion of stories that twist together and cry out to be heard as one, layering textures of rock and soul into a captivating musical conversation,” according to their website (winslowdavis.com)

Calypso Vision on June 23 will deliver “an eclectic ‘gumbo mix of Buffett-style trop and classic rock, grounded in good alternative roots, and a few hippie surprises,” according to the band’s website. Calypso Vision offers an audience a way to escape for a while, relax and enjoy. Their great song list certainly helps with the mood that they create.

On June 30, the one-man-band Remy Neal will entertain in melodies backed by pop rhythms on piano. He weaves a music listening experience that uplifts the spirit and leaves an impression.

Remy gives his distinct flavor of New York theatrics with whimsy and charm when performing for his live audiences. His looping style and stage presence embody a sound that belongs only to this upbeat performer. (remynealmusic.com)
