‘The Nutcracker’ comes alive with The Dance Company

MADISON – Individuals cherish many traditions during the Christmas season, and The Dance Company’s production of “The Nutcracker” is one of those noteworthy events in Madison.

“Our Honors Ballet Program will perform ‘The Nutcracker’ as a holiday gift to our community,” Julie George said. George and Beth Cannon are owners of The Dance Company.

In community outreach, students ask guests to support Manna House by bringing a generous donation of canned goods or non-perishable food items to help this holiday season.

“Manna House will provide food to anyone who has a need at any time,” George said. “Some organizations require proof of a need before giving out food.”

“Also, the organization is run by Fran Fluhler, who is a former The Dance Company mom and currently a ‘grandma’ at TDC,” George said.

Show times for “The Nutcracker” are Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 2 and 6 p.m. All shows will be presented in James Clemens High School Auditorium.

Seating is available on a first-come/first-served basis. Doors will open 30 minutes before show time.
