Several more Madison teachers qualify for NBCT credentials

MADISON – Several teachers in Madison City Schools have joined fellow colleagues to claim the distinction of National Board Certified Teacher or NBCT.

During Institute Day in late July, MCS Assistant Superintendent Eric Terrell reported on the latest Madison educators to reach NBCT status.

“A teacher can work to earn National Board Certification as a voluntary assessment program. The intense study helps develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and instill constant models of improvement on campuses across the country,” John Peck, MCS Public Relations Manager, said.
