Army vet Honea named clinical director at WeCare

HUNTSVILLE – After completing a recent tour of duty, Huntsville native Chris Honea was returned home to accept the position of Director of Clinical Operations at WeCare tlc, a leader in onsite and near-site employee healthcare.

For more than 30 years, Honea has been serving actively in the military. At first, he was in the U.S. Army Reserve. He then transferred to the Alabama National Guard and subsequently commissioned in the U.S. Army Reserve as an Army Nurse Corp. Officer. In his most recent tour of duty, he served as Deputy Commander of Nursing at the 411th Hospital Center in Jacksonville, Fla.

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Honea will work to keep individuals and businesses healthy, not only in his local community but across the country in WeCare tlc’s 54 health and wellness centers.

As Director of Clinical Operations, Honea will serve as liaison between Chief of Clinical Services and the clinical staff at each health and wellness center. Before leaving for his most recent tour, Honea was Regional Nurse Manager at WeCare tlc’s Huntsville clinic.

“I’ll be honest … we all tend to dread doctor appointments. Typically, they take up a lot of time waiting and can be inconvenient to our schedules,” Honea said. “However, at WeCare tlc, we take great pride in serving our patients and always respect their time. Our patients are amazed we provide quick, easy access to fundamental primary care services at affordable rates and never waste their time.”

Honea is fond of the City of Huntsville. After growing up here, he raised his family here, is active in his church and worked in local hospitals’ emergency rooms.

“Through my exposure to the Veterans Administration and other organizations, I’ve discovered how important it is to form personal connections with patients and to provide them convenient access to healthcare services,” Honea said. “These key concepts are always on my mind as I care for my patients.”

“At WeCare tlc, we’re working diligently to change the way healthcare is delivered across the United States. We have centers all over the country in cities like Huntsville that are making whole communities healthier,” Honea said.

WeCare tlc believes quality primary care is the key to a healthy life, and each of its centers adhere to Bridges of Excellence Standards, the strictest standards in the industry, he said.

WeCare tlc is heavily involved in each of the communities and hires knowledgeable locals like Christopher Honea to ensure each member is receiving top-notch care. For more information, visit wecaretlc.com.
