Eats 4 Education food truck event to support The Schools Foundation set for Thursday

Thursday, May 25, Huntsville Utilities will present Eats 4 Education with food trucks and various vendors and organizations in Downtown Huntsville’s Big Spring Park from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event, which is back for a second year, will benefit The Schools Foundation (TSF) which supports Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County public schools through programming, funding, and advocacy for principals, teachers, and students.

“The Schools Foundation is grateful for its partners like Huntsville Utilities,” said Stephanie Kelley, TSF executive director. “They have created a fun event for the entire community to attend and enjoy in beautiful Downtown Huntsville’s Big Spring Park. We also hope families will stop by before they attend Huntsville City Schools’ graduation ceremonies, which will be held at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. in the nearby VBC.”

Parkgoers will enjoy food and beverages from several vendors including: Get Loaded, Nanny’s Lemonade, Sugar Daddy’s Barbeque, Marble Slab Creamery Huntsville, Hustle’N Pop, Tropical Sno, and Forever Grateful (after 2 p.m.). Vendors in the park will include T-Mobile, WZYP Radio, The Views at Chase Creek, Mocktails for Mommy, The Flower Shoppe, Jeff White Photography, and Ross Medical Education Center. In addition, Drake State Community & Technical College and Alabama A&M University will have tents in the park.

Established in 2000, The Schools Foundation supports Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County public schools through programming, funding, and advocacy for principals, teachers, and students. Representing more than 56,000 students, TSF’s vision is to be recognized statewide as a driving force for excellence in public education that helps create world-class schools in Huntsville City, Madison City, and Madison County Schools of Alabama.
