Armed Forces Week continues with community softball game at Toyota Field tonight

Every year, the Huntsville/Madison County community plans a number of events for a week-long Armed Forces Celebration. The celebration continues this evening with the annual Community Softball Game at Toyota Field in Madison. It will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Community leaders will host Redstone Arsenal leaders in a fun softball match-up. Parking and admission are FREE – gates open at 5 p.m. and first pitch is at 5:30. Concessions will be available for purchase.

The North Alabama Rockets and Team Redstone will be competing for the coveted “Target Destroyed” trophy. Come out and root them on! Here are some of the familiar faces you’ll see on the field: • Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle (Helping Coach the Rockets) • Madison Mayor Paul Finley (Rockets) • State House Representative Rex Reynolds (Rockets) • Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner (Rockets) • Huntsville Board of Education member Ryan Renaud (Rockets) • Major General Walt Duzzny, Army Materiel Command (Team Redstone) • COL Brian Cozine, Garrison Commander (Team Redstone) • Johnnie Sharp, FBI (Team Redstone) • Robert Champion, NASA (Team Redstone) • CSM Dylan Lemasters, Garrison CSM (Team Redstone)
