For the Class 4A Madison Academy Mustangs, who rallied with a record 7-5, 6-2, but fell in the second round of the post-season action to West Morgan 28-7, two mainstays for the team’s defense made First-Team All-State. Rice, a Mississippi State signee, who completed his high school career with an outstanding performance in the elite Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, had an outstanding 2024 season with 125 tackles and thus being selected All-State for the second consecutive season.
