UAH takes road regular season finale at TNU to capture fourth straight GSC series win

NASHVILLE – The UAH softball team captured its fourth consecutive Gulf South Conference series win with a 7-2 victory at Trevecca Nazarene in Saturday’s series finale. UAH improves to 26-19 (18-11 GSC), while TNU slides to 26-15 (1515 GSC).

After UAH and TNU went through the eighth inning locked in a 2-2 tie, Sadie Thompson provided a key double that scored four runs – including two-RBI – that guided the Chargers to the 7-2 win in the series finale.

Thompson had a stellar day overall, leading the offense in a 3-for-5 performance at the plate with one run scored and two RBI.

The Chargers recorded 12 base hits as a team, as both Gracie Ashley and Alexa Douthitt joined Thompson with multi-hit games with two base hits apiece. Douthitt additionally scored a team-high two runs, while Ashley tied for the team lead in walks with two free passes.

Decatur, Alabama, native Katie Bracken went the distance in the circle for the Chargers, going 9.0 innings with one earned run allowed and 11 strikeouts. Her record rises to 12-9 with the win.

UAH looks ahead to its final nonconference matchup of the 2025 regular season today at 4 p.m. with a doubleheader at Charger Park against Miles.
