Man arrested for burglary in Madison

Madison Police have arrested a man on burglary and theft charges.

Scott Wyatt, 26, was arrested around 11 a.m. Tuesday for burglarizing two homes in Whitehall off Hughes Road.

Police say a vehicle description was obtained by a witness who saw the vehicle leaving the area. A deputy with the Madison County Sheriff’s department stopped a matching vehicle on Highway 72 at Slaughter Road. Items stolen from the residence were found in the suspect’s vehicle.

Wyatt is being charged with two counts of burglary, theft of property in the first and theft of property in the third. He is being held on $30,300 bond.
