Michael J. Robinson; April 5, 2013

Michael J. Robinson, 58, of Madison, passed away Friday, April 5.

Mr. Robinson graduated in 1973 from Meridian High School, Meridian, Miss. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in business from the University of Phoenix in Dallas, Texas. He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal by the Secretary of the Navy.

Survivors include wife, Sheila Poole Robinson; daughter, Tera Robinson Murphy and husband, Jeffrey, of Bailey, Miss.; sons, Michael Jetson Robinson, Jr. of Madison and Troy David Robinson and fiancé, Megan Morris, of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Brayden Alan and Michael Connor Murphy of Bailey, Miss.; mother, Gladys Davidson Robinson of Meridian, Miss.; brothers, Rick Robinson and wife, Kathy, of Meridian, Miss., Tim Robinson and wife, Kathy, of Bowling Green, Kent.; sister, Teresa Robinson Sisson of Meridian, Miss.; seven nephews; five nieces; two great-nephews and three great-nieces.

A memorial service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at North Park Church in Meridian, Miss. with the Rev. Earl Wheatley officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to service. (www.laughlinservice.com)
