HUNTSVILLE – Partygoers can don lab coats and break out the beakers for the fifth annual Mad Scientist Ball at Sci-Quest Hands-on Science Center on Aug. 10.
Sci-Quest will transform into a mad scientist’s laboratory for this premier adult fundraiser, director Cyndy Morgan said.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy delectable food and drink, along with live and silent auctions for items like jewelry, trips, art and gift baskets. American Lane Band will perform a blend of classic rock and blues.
The evening’s highlight will be presentation of the 2013 Quest for Excellence Awards. These community awards are given to local professionals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers. “This year’s awards will be given to professionals with achievements in energy in three categories: industry, government and academia,” Morgan said.
Tickets are $50. For tickets, call 256-837-0606 or visit sci-quest.org.
