DAR treats vets for Halloween

HUNTSVILLE – Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) members, Huntsville Chapter, hosted a Halloween party for residents at Floyd E. ‘Tut’ Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville.
On Oct. 27, DAR members dressed in Halloween costumes to serve cookies and distribute treat baskets in appreciation to these veterans for serving their country.
DAR members participating were Regina Lyon; Beth Agee of Madison; Abby Alexander; Nancy Campbell; Margaret King; Regent Wilma Stone, LTC (USA retired); Service for Veterans Chairman Christine Cowley of Madison; Linda Baccus; Patricia Brewer; Nettie Beth Lovelady; and Gail Birmingham.
Members who couldn’t attend contributed to the party supplies.
The mission of DAR is to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.
