MADISON – In its last meeting for 2015, Madison City Council completed last-minute business in a brief session on Dec. 28.

Council appointed Jacqueline Wilson-Bradley to serve on Madison City Disability Advocacy Board (MCDAB), place no. 5. Wilson-Bradley works as Coordinator of Special Education for Madison City Schools.

Formerly, she served as assistant principal at James Clemens High School and a special education teacher at The Academy.

Madison City Disability Advocacy Board works to strengthen public understanding of the needs of persons with disabilities and to ensure that all citizens with disabilities have equal access to Madison’s resources and opportunities. For more information about the board, visit mcdab.org.

First Commercial Bank was designated as depository for the ‘credit card payment’ account. Council granted an off-premise beer and wine license for SHNN Inc. (Doing Business as Jet Pep) for their location at 7850 U.S. 72 W.

Council members heard the second reading of the ordinance for vacation of utility and drainage easement in Cedar Acres subdivision. The ordinance’s first reading was completed on Dec. 14.

Madison Police Department has approval for a software maintenance agreement with Intergraph Corporation.

Republic Services was awarded the bid for dumpster services.
