Remember vets by placing wreathes on graves

MADISON – Madison American Legion, Post 229 will conduct its annual “Placing of Wreaths” event on Dec. 16 and hopes residents will assist in this effort.

Volunteers and legionnaires will report at 9 a.m. at Madison Memory Gardens, located just north of the Madison City Hall, 100 Hughes Road.

“We will be placing Christmas wreaths on our veterans’ gravesites. We invite our community residents and organizations to come out and lend a hand,” Post 229 Commander Carlos F. Woods said.

“As always, the members of the Madison American Legion, Post 229 thank you for your support,” Woods said.
