I-565 East and West bound lanes to be temporarily closed at 2 p.m.

MADISON — The Madison Police Department announced today that the East and West bound lanes of I-565 in the city limits of Madison will be temporarily closed at 2 p.m. this afternoon due to construction-related blasting for an exit ramp in the area of the Town Madison Development.

For safety, traffic will be stopped a safe distance away from the blast zone for a duration of approximately 10 minutes.

Marked police vehicles and officers will be on the scene to stop traffic. MPD is asking drivers to be aware of their presence and follow their direction.

Traffic will resume once the “all clear is given.”

If travel is imperative and cannot be delayed, MPD asks drivers to “please plan for an alternate route.”
