Photos: Madison City Schools shares scenes from first day at school

MADISON – It’s official. The 2021-2022 school year is now under way for Madison City Schools.

Buses rolled through neighborhood streets, car lines crawled in, and walkers, teen drivers – even a couple of bicycle riding students – made their way to schools today. There were a few tears shed today by first time students. Some were from parents dropping off a first-born.

Teachers and staffs did their usual great job of keeping order, despite a few registration snafus, bus hiccups and other small setbacks. All in all it was a great opening day and a joy to see students bringing the schools back to life.
