Madison Visionary Partners requests volunteers for two nonprofits

MADISON – Madison Visionary Partners or MVP is calling for volunteers to help with fundraisers for two non-profit organizations.

Ryker’s Rainbow is looking for volunteers for their second annual Farm to Table(aux) event. The other organization, LearningQUEST is presenting a session, “From Bats to Beetles! Our Nighttime Pollinators,” about the work that insects perform in nature.

On May 1, Ryker’s Rainbow will conduct the third annual “Farm to Table(aux),” a one-ofa- kind fundraiser at The Royal at Stovehouse. Organizers expect 400 community-minded, philanthropic individuals and couples to attend.

The event will feature several Tableaux Vivants or living art pieces inspired by Frida, live and silent auctions, live entertainment, along with a farm-totable dinner from local culinary vendors, MVP Executive Director Christina Hearne said.

Ryker’s Rainbow needs about 100 volunteers — from setup to cleanup to tableaux assistance. Each position will have a specific time assignment. Experience is not needed to fill these volunteer positions, but volunteers with specific skills can sign up for those slots.

Ryker’s Rainbow, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, strives to provide emotional and tangible support for families who experience the loss of a pregnancy, infant or child.

For the LearningQUEST event, volunteers will attend the session, “From Bats to Beetles!,” that will explore the often- forgotten nighttime pollinators that work in gardens and other greenspaces. Guests will learn these creatures’ names, their importance to the ecosystem, threatened varieties and the steps that individuals can take to save them.

The event on May 13 will run from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Huntsville- County Public Library, downtown Huntsville location at 915 Monroe St. Tim Gels will serve as facilitator for the session.

LearningQUEST is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization for adults of all ages. The group is dedicated to building a learning community through educational and enrichment opportunities.

LearningQUEST offers educational opportunities in an open and friendly environment with respect and dignity for all participants and presenters.

A volunteer’s skills and experience can help LearningQUEST thrive — whether you enjoy working with people, planning, organizing or communicating your knowledge. No matter how much time a person has to give, LearningQUEST has a place for you.
