Dr. James Meredith to speak at Drake State

HUNTSVILLE — Author and civil rights activist Dr. James Meredith will speak at J.F. Drake State Technical College in the cafetorium on Feb. 12 at 9 a.m. Meredith will visit Drake State as part the campus observances of Black History Month.

Meredith will discuss his experiences in the civil rights movement. He was the first black student admitted to the University of Mississippi. For more information, call Drake State Director of Public Relations Lisa G. Burton at 256-551-3136.
