Madison Parks and Recreation announces Phase II of re-opening
Dublin and Palmer parks will receive a new Thor Guard Weather Notification System measure to alert visitors at the parks of severe weather and other emergencies requiring evacuation of the fields and the swimming pool.

Madison Parks and Recreation announces Phase II of re-opening

MADISON – The City of Madison Parks and Recreation announced Tuesday that facilities will begin the process of re-opening for operations adhering to State health orders. They said the following guidelines will be enforced through Phase II of reopening by City of Madison staff:

-Parks, playgrounds, and tennis courts open for normal use

-Kids Kingdom is open, but some areas may be closed for repairs.

Dublin Park Building

-Facility is now open Monday-Friday, 6 AM—8 PM; Saturday 8 AM—5 PM; and Sunday 10 AM—5 PM for limited use

-Indoor Pool—lap swim only (8 patrons at a time)

-Gym •Basketball: shooting only, 1 person per ball • Pickleball: resume as normal • Walking Track: open with social distancing

-Meeting Room rentals available with limited max capacities when building is open. Rentals must follow social distancing guidelines

Outdoor Pool

-Pool will be used for limited swim team practices and lap swim

-Resume Water Aerobics classes

-Private Pool Parties cancelled

-No Summer Swim Lessons

Youth Programs

-Madison Baseball resumes with social distancing protocols

-Resume tournaments June 19th with social distancing protocols

Madison Senior Center

-Remains closed until authorization to open is given from State officials.
