Catch the bus with Madison Chamber for overnight visit to state capital

MADISON – Madison Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, invites residents to its “Trip to Montgomery” to meet with the governor and lawmakers in the state capital.

During the trip on Feb. 25-26, participants will have an excellent opportunity to network with other community leaders about critical state issues.

“This annual trip to the state capital provides an opportunity for business and community leaders to meet with key officials and influential leaders in state government. While in Montgomery, we will meet with Gov. Kay Ivey and join meetings aimed at propelling business initiatives forward,” Michelle Epling said. Epling is Executive Director of Madison Chamber of Commerce.

This joint excursion will include members of Madison Chamber of Commerce and Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. “You’ll have plenty of chances to network with key figures throughout our communities,” Epling said. The group will stay one night in Montgomery. Travelers are welcome to drive themselves or ride the bus; however, the registration fee includes bus transportation, even if you drive your vehicle. Hotel reservation is not included.

Buses will depart from the parking lot of Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, 225 Church St. NW in Huntsville at 1 p.m. on Feb. 25. The group will travel to the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel at 201 Tallapoosa St. for a reception honoring the leaders in state government.

On Feb. 26, the Madison County entourage will depart Montgomery after lunch and return to Huntsville around 5 p.m.

Seats on the bus are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Deadline to sign up is Jan. 31. Organizers can’t guarantee seat availability after Jan. 31.

“The Madison Chamber will be handing out some delicious ‘Madison Car Snacks’ for bus travelers to keep you fueled on the trip,” Epling said. “We have one Madison Car Snacks sponsorship available for the Montgomery trip.” For more information, email marketing@ madisonalchamber.com.

Fees for early-bird registration by Jan. 28 are $500. Registration fees after Jan. 28 are $550. Registration will close on Feb. 14. Individuals who are members of both chambers should register only on one site.
