Smith, Retzke to wed Aug.23

Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Smith of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Rebecca Smith of Atlanta, to Jeffery James Retzke of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Retzke of Dothan.
The bride-elect is a 1993 graduate of Bob Jones High School, a 1998 graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in human environmental sciences, and a 2001 graduate of George Washington University of School of Business with a master's degree in project management. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. She is employed by BellSouth as a small business marketing project manager.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Virginia R. Cole of Huntsville and the late John L. Cole of Gadsden, and Mrs. DeLura M. Smith and the late Nolen C. Smith of Gadsden.
The groom-elect is a 1991 graduate of Northview High School, a 1996 graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in biology, and a graduate of the University of Charleston Medical University with a master's degree in environmental studies. He is employed by U.R.S. Corporation as an environmental scientist. He is a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and a member of the Sierra Club.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Retzke of Manawa, Wis., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ferdinand Wustrick of Fon du Lac, Wis.
The wedding will be held Aug. 23 at the Church of the Nativity, Episcopal.
