Schools closed due to ‘icy,’ ‘treacherous’ roads

The cold temperatures and water that froze from the snow that covered Madison Sunday, Jan. 9, left some of the city’s streets and roads slippery, too slippery to drive.

That’s why school officials decided to go ahead and cancel classes in both Madison city and county, Thursday, Jan. 13, the fourth consecutive day.

No word yet on if school will also be canceled Friday.
