Vestavia Hills knocks BJ boy’s soccer

The Bob Jones Boys Soccer team lost to Vestavia Hills at home Monday, April 9, 4-1.

Vestavia got off to an early lead with a goal with 36:45 remaining in the half. Bob Jones stepped up their game and had several good looks at the Rebels’ goal, but could not convert any shots. The two teams were tied at halftime.

With 16:14 remaining in the second half, Vestavia got their second

goal. Bob Jones was not able to recover and Vestavia scored an

additional two goals before Bob Jones’ Jared Mitchell scored with 13

seconds remaining in the game on a direct kick. Zach Wroblewski was in

goal for the Patriots.
