School bus involved in early morning accident

Transportation Director Bobby Jackson said no students were on the bus.

A Madison City School bus was involved in a rear-end collision Monday morning.

Transportation Director Bobby Jackson said the bus driver, William Leslie, didn’t see the Ford pick-up truck before he hit it.

No students were on the bus, which was on its way to Bob Jones High School to pick up students.

Jackson said no one was injured.

Jackson said Leslie has been a bus driver for the past 8 years.

Leslie was transported to Huntsville Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“We don’t like these kinds of things to happen, and we’re glad no kids were on the bus,” Jackson said.
