Hammad Memon’s bond revoked
A Madison County Circuit Court has revoked the $75,000 bond set for the boy accused of shooting and killing student Todd Brown at Discovery Middle School in 2010.
An arrest warrant was issued for 14-year-old Hammad Memon.
Court documents say Express Mail delivered a package to Memon’s mother, Sofia. The motion said the package was apparently a passport sent from the Embassy of Pakistan, according to an Express Mail carrier. The documents listed Memon as an “extreme flight risk.”
UPDATE
Madison County Assistant District Attorney said in a press conference Friday that his office is not aware of the whereabouts of Memon and his mother.
Memon had permission to leave the state of Alabama, but not the United States.
Gann said he “strongly believes” that it was passport that was mailed to Memon’s home. Gann said Memon signed for the package, which was delivered on Thursday, himself.
Madison police are reporting that Hammad Memon is now in custody of the Dallas Police Department.
