Bob Jones offers sports camp this summer

Teenagers (and parents) looking for a summertime break can return to school for summer camps. Bob Jones High School is offering numerous sports camps.

Softball camp will be held on June 4-6. Students entering grades 2-5 meet from 8 to 11 a.m. Students entering grades 6-9 meet from 1 to 4 p.m.  For information, call Kent Chambers at 256-651-0966.

Also on June 4-6, baseball camp is open to students from 6 to 14 years from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Call Jeff Bell at 256-783-9757.

Basketball camps will meet June 4-6. Lady Patriot sessions will be held from 9 to 11 a.m.; call Tim Miller at 256-503-6779. Boys will assemble from 1 to 3 p.m.; call Graham Aderholt at 256-655-8378. These camps are for students entering grades 1-9.

Patriot Track Camp will meet on June 18-21 from 9 to 11 a.m. for students entering grades 1-9. Call Robin Gaines at 256-772-2547, ext. 220.

‘Rising’ third-graders to seniors can attend boys soccer camp on June 11-15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Call Uwe Spiller at 256-509-2714. Lady Patriot soccer camps will be held June 18-22 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in two brackets: rising third- through sixth-graders and for grades 7-12. Call Tony Schroeder at 256-655-4911.

Football camp’s dates are June 18-20 from 8 to 10 a.m. for students entering kindergarten through sixth grade. Call Kevin Rose at 256-975-9001.

Dates for wrestling camp are June 18-20 from 8 to 11 a.m. for prospective kindergarten through sixth-grade students. The coach recommends for campers to register with a partner at equivalent age and weight. Call Jason Edwards at 256-656-8131.

Volleyball clinic is geared for rising fourth- through eighth-graders. Dates are June 12-14 from 9 to 11 a.m. Call April Marsh at 256-762-1264.

Cheerleader camp on Aug. 11 runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for students entering kindergarten through eighth grade. Call Dan Harrod at 256-529-7255.

All camp fees are $75, except for soccer at $60 and cheerleading at $40.
