Logan’s Roadhouse is on track to open in early May in Madison.
The restaurant broke ground Monday afternoon for the 6,500 square feet restaurant. With a capacity of 237 people, friends, business partners and families are welcomed to join in their tradition of throwing peanut shells on the floor.
The eatery will be located beside China Buffet on Madison Boulevard.
Susie Masotti, executive director for the Madison Chamber of Commerce, states that the venue is part of the city of Madison’s economic development plan and will help the growth of the community.
“This is where Sci-Quest is going to be. This is where the newer hotels are,” Masotti said.
Madison Mayor Troy Trulock is a fan of Logan’s himself. “I like taking my family in there, where you can eat the peanuts and actually throw the shells on the floor,” Trulock said.
Masotti stated the restaurant would satisfy the wants of casual dinners and business professionals. “There are so many hotels here where people who are working on the arsenal or Research Park live during the week and go home on the weekends. They are looking for new places to eat where they can come with their family and come with a business associate and have a nice casual dinner,” Masotti said.
Logan’s will also be hiring up to 145 employees. The website to complete the application will be up by late March.
