Madison Street Festival unveils new logo

By Aldo Amato

MADISON — The Madison Street Festival unveiled a new logo that reflects the spirit of downtown Madison.

The logo, designed by Lauren Fowler, has been widely praised by committee members as they look to have a successful festival in October.

“I learned about Lauren Fowler’s design talent through artists Lisa Riccardi, Tisa Womack and Michelle Lee,” Beth Rideway said. “I sat down with Lauren in 2012 when I took over the Madison Street Festival website, and she was kind enough to help with graphics. When the Madison Street Festival Committee decided to move forward with a new logo, I knew Lauren would be perfect for the job.”

The new logo captures the new Madison Station building at 14 Main St. with instruments, paint materials and other festive designs.

“One of our goals in designing a new logo is that it is something that can represent the festival for many years to come,” Lana Barshinger said. “I think we have achieved this goal.”

Ridgeway said Fowler’s persistence at creating a new logo design was exceptional.

“She was only an email or phone call away and worked hard to make sure our logo would work in multiple formats,” she said. “From t-shirts to websites, the new Madison Street Festival logo is ready to go.”

The Madison Street Festival is scheduled to be on Oct. 5 in historic downtown Madison. For more information, visit www.madisonstreetfestival.org/project.
