MADISON – Before returning to classrooms today, math and science teachers toured Redstone Arsenal, specifically those facilities that deal with classroom subject matter, on Aug. 15.

“Team Redstone partnered with local school districts to provide an opportunity for Redstone leaders to become actively engaged in the classroom enhancing academic achievement,” Terri Stover with the public affairs office said.

Redstone leaders invited teachers from Huntsville, Madison, Madison County, Scottsboro, Arab, Limestone County, Athens, Decatur, Fayetteville and Lincoln County, Tenn. The tour included NASA – Marshall Space Flight Center, Army Aviation & Missile Research Development & Engineering Center and Redstone Test Center.

“Educators saw areas of the arsenal that are available for field trips for math, science, technology and engineering students in local middle and high schools,” Stover said.
