MADISON – Local performers are encouraged to apply for a gig with the 2014 Summer Gazebo Concert Series, sponsored by Madison Arts Council (MAC).

“We are looking for bands, solo musicians, gospel groups, duets, trios — you get the picture,” MAC President Shrail Heinrich said.

For 2014, audiences can enjoy nine concerts. These free music events will be held on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The concerts kick off on May 29, and the last concert of the summer will be July 31.

The Madison Gazebo is located in downtown Madison on the Village Green off Front Street.

MAC will offer face painting for children. “We’re excited to announce free art projects that kids can participate in during the concert,” Heinrich said. “MAC wants you to make our gazebo concerts a summer family tradition.”

For an application, visit artsmadison.org and click “Madison Gazebo Concerts.”
