REDSTONE ARSENAL – For anyone who can’t be in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, join the partygoers at the Mardi Gras & Wine Tasting at The Summit on Feb. 21.

Redstone Arsenal Community Women’s Club is hosting its winter fundraiser in The Summit’s ballroom. The fun will start at 6.30 p.m.

“Wear your favorite Mardi Gras mask and let the good times roll … Laissez le bon temps rouler!” club publicist Olga Hansen said. “Guests are encouraged to join in the festivities by wearing a Mardi Gras outfit or party attire.”

The Mardi Gras fundraiser will have guests celebrating with wine tasting, silent auctions, novelty photographs and dancing to the groove of a live band. Ticket price includes a buffet dinner and a chance in the drawing for the grand prize.

Redstone Arsenal Community Women’s Club will use proceeds to benefit their programs for community assistance and merit award programs that help veterans, deployed personnel and their families, Hansen said.

“Members of the public, retired and active military personnel, Redstone Arsenal contractors and friends are all welcome to attend this event,” Hansen said.

“It is through fundraising events such as this one that we maintain our links with the past while building a bright future for not only ourselves but for those people in our community who need help,” she said.

Redstone Arsenal Community Women’s Club is a 501(c) 4 private, non-profit organization that is not affiliated with Redstone Arsenal or the U.S. Army.

Tickets are $40 and available until Feb. 19. For purchases, call Sharon Weber at 901-337-7261 or email to rsacwcfundraising@gmail.com. For more information about the Mardi Gras & Wine Tasting Fundraiser, visit rsacwc.org.
