Kathryn Brewer Lanier September 14, 1917 – October 26, 2014

Kathryn Brewer Lanier passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. Mrs. Lanier was born in Madison, Alabama, married Andrew L. Lanier in 1941, and worked for Thikol until 1957. Mrs. Lanier was a long time member of First United Methodist Church where she worked for the Mother’s Morning Out Program for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include daughter, Martha Lanier Moore (Garry); grandson, Carter L. Moore; sister, Alice Hilson; and nieces, newphews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved dearly. Visitation was from 4 – 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2014, in the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church. A memorial service followed at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
