HARVEST – Ford’s Chapel United Methodist Church is hosting their annual Holiday Craft Fair on Dec. 6.

The fair hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fair coordinators are encouraging local artists and crafters to sell their merchandise at the event. “Do you have a creative product you would like to sell at Ford’s Chapel’s Holiday Craft Fair? ” spokesperson Emily Howard said.

Vendors can choose between spaces that measure 10 by 10 feet or 5 by 8 feet. “There is no up-front fee,” Howard said. “We only ask that you donate 20 percent of your sales for the day to Ford’s Chapel Children’s Ministries.”

Deadline is Nov. 21 or until all spaces are filled.

“Come see local artists, crafters and vendors, hear holiday music performances, enjoy cupcakes and hot chocolate, register for door prizes and more,” Howard said. In the Santa’s Workshop booth, children can buy gifts for their families.

Ford’s Chapel’s purpose is to connect individuals to Christ, according to church material. The church members promise a warm, non-threatening welcome, a family atmosphere, and a sense that you’ve come home.

Sunday worship service times are 9:30 a.m. for the contemporary service that features upbeat music with casual dress and 11 a.m. for the traditional service with a mixture of hymns of the church and choruses. The church’s address is 280 Ford Chapel Drive in Harvest.

During each worship service, Ford’s Chapel has ‘kid-friendly’ and age-appropriate services and discipleship opportunities for children. Students attend the 9:30 a.m. and classes afterwards.

This congregation rebounded successfully after major structural damage to the church facilities in the April 27, 2011 tornado outbreak. Proceeds from the craft’s fair will benefit Ford’s Chapel Children’s Ministries.

For more information about the craft’s fair or questions about booths, call Howard at 256-721-0639 or email to fcumchurch@bellsouth.net.
