Auction to help children’s clubs

HUNTSVILLE – Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama is teaming up with Dealers Auto Auction of Huntsville for an auction on June 23.

The event will be held at auction headquarters at 8:30 a.m. at 26125 U.S. 72. A portion of auction proceeds will benefit the youth clubs.

“Dealers Auto Auction continues their support of their community partner, Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama, as they work together to make a difference in the lives of the children in our community,” Josh Bray said. Bray works as director of public relations/marketing for the youth clubs.

Festivities will begin at 8:30 a.m. with an introduction ceremony featuring speakers Patrick Wynn, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama, along with Dealers Auto Auction representatives and club members. Following the introduction ceremony, the auction will start about 9:15 a.m.

Allen Atkins will play “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Area mayors are planning to speak.

“During the introduction ceremony, one lucky person in attendance will have a chance to putt for $10,000 during the ‘Re-marketing by General Electric: Drive For Show, Putt for Dough’ challenge,” Bray said.

Robert Fields will give closing remarks. Ronnie Marks will deliver the invocation.
