MADISON – For Elizabeth Cofer, it’s a toss-up on choosing a sport that she likes best.

“Elizabeth has trouble picking a favorite sport,” her mother Stephanie Cofer said. “Elizabeth loves soccer because she loves to be active; she would stay in the whole game if the coaches would let her. She also loves softball because she loves to bat and speed around the bases.”

This year, Elizabeth plays in Madison Softball League on the 6u Bandits team. Usually covering third base, she can handle pitching and first-base duties.

With soccer, she has played at Hogan Family YMCA and with NOW Soccer Academy. Taking classes about nine months, Elizabeth has earned a yellow belt in Tang Soo Do.

In August, Elizabeth will enter second grade at West Madison Elementary School. A Girl Scout for two years, she is a Brownie Girl Scout with Troop 700.

Her parents are David and Stephanie Cofer. He works with technology matters for Aegis; Stephanie is a homemaker. Elizabeth’s four-year-old brother Matthew loves T-ball and played in Madison Baseball Association with the Rays.
