Madison Chamber gears up for new golf tournament

MADISON — The Madison Chamber of Commerce invites the public to participate in their first-ever Tee Up Fore Business golf tournament Sept. 28 at Sunset Landing Golf Course.

Local professionals will have the chance to network in an open, entertaining setting while competing for various prizes. A shotgun start at 8 a.m. will begin the teams’ 18-hole tournament in a four-person scramble.

“We’re very excited to introduce this new event to the Madison community,” said Pam Honeycutt, executive director of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. “Both sponsorships and teams are value priced, enabling any sized company to participate in the tournament, promote their business and gain valuable exposure to local business professionals.”

There will be two hole-in-one prizes available: a brand new Polaris Slingshot, courtesy of presenting sponsor Polaris Industries, as well as $10,000 cash, sponsored by Peggie Hulebak Rowell, P.C. In addition, second- and third-place teams will win a cash prize.

The cost to register a team of four is $300. Players will be able to take part in fun contests, win raffle prizes, receive a complimentary “swag bag” and enjoy breakfast and lunch at the event. Two golf carts and green fees are also included in the registration cost.

Teams can also purchase a “power pack” at registration, which provides one Mulligan and one Power Drive per player, per team. Additional Mulligans will also be available for purchase.

Contests include putting, closest to the pin and longest drive. A $500 flight voucher from Huntsville International Airport will be up for grabs as the grand raffle prize.

The tournament will take place rain or shine, and golf attire is required. To register a team, buy a sponsorship or find out more information on the tournament, visit madisonalchamber.com/tee-up-fore-business. For questions, the chamber can be reached at 256-325-8317.

Sunset Landing Golf Course is located at 346 James Record Rd. in Huntsville.
