2018 Ladies Classic To Be Held At James Clemens

MADISON- The 16-team pre-Christmas girls’ basketball tournament known as the Lady Classic will be held at James Clemens High this year as the alternating schedule with Bob Jones High continues.

Huntsville Hospital Sports Center and TOC Sports have taken over the title sponsorship of the annual event and this year’s team lineup includes 15 teams from North and Central Alabama and one team from the state of Georgia seeing action in both main and auxiliary gyms at James Clemens. The action begins on Thursday, Dec. 20 and concludes with the championship contest at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22.

The opening day lineup of games includes: Henry County, Ga. vs. Muscle Shoals (2:30 p.m.-Main), Charles Henderson (Troy) vs. Muscle Shoals (2:30 p.m.-Aux.), John Paul II vs. Grissom (4:00 p.m.-Main), Florence vs. Decatur (4:00 p.m.-Aux.), Locust Fork vs. Madison Academy (5:30 p.m.-Main), Columbia vs. Center Point (5:30 p.m.-Aux.), Huntsville vs. James Clemens (7:00 p.m.-Main) and Hazel Green vs. Austin (7:00 p.m.-Aux.).

The second day of action will begin at noon in both the winners and losers brackets. Day three will include the championship game along with third place and consolation title games all in the main gymnasium.
