Rainbow principal posts music video for his students to enjoy during closure

MADISON – If the coronavirus outbreak had not occurred, students throughout the Madison City school district would be preparing for state testing. When schools closed on March 16, Rainbow Elementary principal Brian Givens was in the midst of creating a music video to get his students pumped up.

“Prior to the COVID-19 crisis the audio was in place for this video,” Givens said. “Plans for filming students and adults were halted along with state testing.”

He said the video was completed using Jib Jab to put smiles on the faces of students at Rainbow Elementary while everyone is social distancing.

“I had an elaborate plan working with Bob Jones High School students to film students and teachers,” Givens added. “However, I do not want to waste an opportunity, even though state testing has been cancelled, to make some of my Rockets laugh with this music video.”

The music video was posted to the school’s Facebook page earlier this week. Click below to watch it:
