Achieve Training Center accepting applications for free classes in software

MADISON COUNTY – Achieve Training Center is accepting applications from men who want to enroll in free classes for software study.

“So many things are now information-driven and based in software technologies across virtually every aspect of life,” Achieve Program Director Ron Wicks said. “That trend can create a great opportunity for you if you would like to learn one of many high-growth software skills.”

“Companies need a wide range of software skills in fields such as web development, data analytics and programming,” Wicks said. These sessions also cover areas like cybersecurity and web development. “What if you could learn a software skill that is in high demand in a few short months?”

Achieve Training Center is one of the programs that Christian Job Corps offers. The corps is a non-profit, faith-based agency for adults who need to improve their lifestyles and employment situations with job-readiness classes, computer training, Bible study and mentoring.

“This nationally accredited program for software skills can be completed in just a few months, after which you’ll be able to interview with some of Huntsville’s top companies,” Wicks said. “Our goal at Achieve Training Center is to provide men from all backgrounds an opportunity to learn in-demand job skills that will lead to a well-paying career in one of the many software skills.”

“At Achieve Training Center, we offer software skills training completely free of charge for those who are willing to put in the work to create a career. Along the way, men receive mentoring on soft skills required to be successful in the workplace,” Wick said.

To complete an application, visit achievetrainingcenter.com/application. The applicant will need to supply general contact details, background information, work history and references.

After completing the application, click “Send Application” to submit the form online. Or, download and print the form, and postal mail the completed form to 233 Stokes St., Huntsville, AL. For questions, call 256-886-7952.

Admission into Achieve Training requires a background check, COVID-19 test and drug-free drug test at the center’s expense. Students will be suspended if drug or alcohol addiction occurs while enrolled.

The center’s mailing address is Christian Job Corps of Madison County, 600 Governors Drive SW, Huntsville, AL 35801-5128. For questions about the software program or how to get started, call 256-886-7952, email ron.wicks.cmjc@gmail.com or visit achievetrainingcenter.com.
