Youngsters can enjoy Easter Egg Hunts at Dublin, churches

MADISON – Madison churches and a city park are welcoming the change in seasons with amusing lawn games for Easter.

Sponsored by the City of Madison, the Madison Easter ‘Egg’stravaganza’ will be held on the grounds of Dublin Park at 8324 Old Madison Pike. The event will entertain children on April 16 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The Egg’stravaganza is free to all children.

Children can attend one of two hunts on Soccer Field 1 that will be divided for age groups. Children who range from one to five years old will hunt at 9 a.m. Then at 10:30 a.m., the six-year-olds through 10-year-olds will take the field for hunting.

Inflatable attractions will be set up on Soccer Field 2. Throughout the hunts, the Easter Bunny will be waiting to pose for photographs with the children.

A free shuttle service will run round-trip from Bob Jones High School to Dublin Park. Handicap parking only will be open at Dublin Park.

Sponsors for Egg’stravaganza are The City of Madison Parks and Recreation Department and Rocket City Martial Arts. For more information, call 256-772-9300.
