Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will show off fall semester offerings Aug. 8

HUNTSVILLE – The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (OLLI at UAH) is filled with people eager to explore new topics and gain new skills. Discover the exciting, entertaining and enlightening activities they’ve planned for the fall 2025 semester at an open house on Friday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at Wilson Hall on the UAH campus. UAH is a part of The University of Alabama System.

OLLI at UAH is a member-based learning community for adults age 50 and up. For those new to OLLI, this free open house is a great time to meet instructors, board members and staff as well as check out the course schedule.

“OLLI’s strength lies in inviting adults to expand their horizons and to explore new experiences in a supportive community,” said Phil Graham, OLLI board president. “OLLI is where curiosity thrives!”

OLLI offers more than 70 classes this fall. There will be 19 bonus lectures and special events that are free with OLLI membership, as well as eight member interest groups ranging from Tai Chi to the OLLI Reads book club.

Most of OLLI’s high-quality, low-cost activities happen in person on the UAH campus, but there are also a few road trips and virtual programs.

A new OLLI feature this year is the OLLI Merch Store, which opened July 11 on the OLLI webpage. It’s packed with clothing, travel accessories and more. A percentage of each sale goes to the OLLI 501(c)(3) to help OLLI keep growing.
