Newcomers and Neighbors Club to meet Feb. 12

MADISON – The Madison Newcomers and Neighbors Club, a Women’s Social Organization will meet on Thursday, Feb. 12 at the Hogan Family YMCA, 130 Park Square Lane (off Hughes Rd) in Madison. Social time begins at 9:45 a.m. with the meeting starting promptly at 10 a.m.

The speaker for February is Jim Chamberlain from Madison Greenways & Trails, Inc.,a non-profit organization representing the interests of people wanting greater access to walking and biking trails and paths; people concerned with preservation of natural resources and wetlands, wildlife habitat and scenic views; and people interested in preserving access to historical sites, in land use planning and in community enhancement.

There will be an optional lunch after the meeting at a local restaurant.

Membership is open to all women that live in Madison and the surrounding area, whether they are new to the community or lifelong residents. Our goal is to meet new people, share common interests and learn about the Madison area. Every member brings their own life experiences and that enriches our collective goal of friendships and fun.
