MADISON – Catfish to fine wine, pork to portabello await guests at MadFood! on May 13.

Madison Chamber of Commerce (MCC) is sponsoring the tasting fair at Best Western Plus from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

“Where else can you spend the money for just one meal and have more than 25 vendors to sample from? Your future dining choices can be made in just one visit,” chamber executive director Susie Masotti said.

MadFood! “helps stimulate our local economy by offering a sampling from many vendors, leading to increased future revenue,” Masotti said. “They’ll definitely whet your appetite and leave you wanting more.”

Guests can sample food from Fresh Traditions at Port of Madison, Buena Vista Mexican Cantina, Main Street Cafe, Sunny Street Cafe, Little Libby’s Catfish & Diner, Neon Lilly and Scene Restaurant. Golden Rule and Thomas Pit will serve barbecue.

Papa Murphy’s and Stevi B’s will have pizza samples. Guests can sip brews by Grounded Coffee and Super Dollar Shoppe/Organo Coffee. Culinary students from Bob Jones High School will cook for MadFood!

Fresh Traditions will serve their house wines, while Supreme Beverage will have domestic and imported brews. “Look for Turner Beverage to bring a few surprises,” she said.

Blue Pants and Old Black Bear breweries will offer craft beer. Sun Drop Bottling will offer soft drinks.

Classically trained and fusion violinist Winslow Davis will entertain with his five-string electric violin using effects for electric guitar, drum and loops.

The silent auction includes gifts from Small Business Solutions, Lite 96.9, attorney Peggy Rowell, Massage Envy, Salt of the Earth Photography, Artistic Minds, Wreaths by Kimberly, Lynn’s Hallmark, First Commercial Bank and Business Interiors.

Marriott Shoals, Chattanooga Choo Choo and Westin Huntsville hotels have donated lodging. Bidders can vie for gifts from Sunset Landing Golf Course, The Melting Pot, Daisy Lane Gifts, The Crafty Behr, Pet Depot, Gil Brady Photography and Arbor Nails & Spa.

Tickets are $20 or $25 for non-members and at the event. For tickets, call 256-325-8317 or visit madisonalchamber.com or the chamber office.
