MADISON – Liberty Middle School’s coaching staff, along with visiting coaches and athletes from colleges, will conduct a baseball camp at Palmer Park on May 28-30.

The camp is open to baseball players from five to 14 years old. The three-day camp will cover several techniques, including base running, hitting, catching, pitching and position-specific instruction.

Daily competitions will involve real-time game scenarios.

Three camp packages are available. In Package 1 for basic skills, five- to eight-year-olds will receive instruction on hitting, fielding, pitching and catching. This program will teach the athlete basic skills to excel on the baseball field.

For Package 1, camp hours will be 8 to 10 a.m. each day. Cost is $150 for each participant.

Package 2 is targeted for nine- through 14-year-olds. Campers will learn about either hitting and fielding, or pitching and catching. Available times are 10 a.m. to noon or noon to 2 p.m. Cost is $100.

Package 3 also is open to nine- through 14-year-olds but will focus on hitting, fielding, pitching and catching instruction for each participant. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch provided. Cost is $150 per participant.

All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

Parents must complete required forms and present these and payment on the first morning of camp. Campers can pre-register by email.

Registration deadline is May 26.
