Area pastors to lead community prayer gathering at Big Spring Park tonight

HUNTSVILLE – Several churches in the Huntsville area, including some in Madison, are encouraging people to gather at Big Spring Park this evening for a time of community prayer.

Organized by The Rock Family Worship Center, the prayer gathering will be held 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Over 30 churches representing various denominations are participating in the event.

“Now more than ever the body of Christ MUST come together and pray for change,” stated a Facebook post promoting the event. “Please join us as we are hosting a community prayer gathering, led by area pastors, to engage the Heart of God for Justice and Equity in our Land.”

Organizers say the event is to pray for healing and restoration, strength and unity, and for revival to come that brings change in hearts and policies. “Let’s intercede together for our city leaders, law enforcement, government and our community as a whole.”
